I left Demand Media when I had a regular quarterly gig lined up to film seminars for RL & Associates, editing workshops, interviews and guest speakers into promo videos. I hired the crews, rented the equipment and did all of the editing. For this project, as with most of my freelance gigs, I took on many roles, from the planning stages right through to final edits.
Regular gigs included photo shoots for the Ladybird Johnson Wildflower Center and videos for Octane Press, including the edit of a full-length DVD of the Half Century of Progress Farm Equipment Show. Clients for my current freelance stint include the Center for Texas Music History at Texas State University (photos), the City of Seguin (video), the Texas Veterans Commission (fliers) and more videos with Austin artist Valerie Fowler, who I have worked with for more than 10 years.
